They replaced a couple of maglites when the batteries leaked inside
Save the batteries and write a letter to them and eotech. The battery acid most likely did not damage the eotech internal, and just damaged the contacts in the battery box Hopefully cleaning or replacing the battery box will fix your problem What you need to do when using eotechs is to replace the batterys often, and remove the batterys from the unit if you are not going to be using the rifle and optic.

I just grabbed my rifle out of the safe and tried to turn on the eotech and it was dead so i pulled the cover off to check the batteries and noticed one of them had leaked out a little I cleaned everything up the best i could, put new batteries in and it fired up Anyone else have this problem before I had energizers in it, may swap to duracell now

Either way, aimpoint as well as eotech suffer failures It seems eotech has had better luck with the newer xps/exps series since the battery contact issues appear to have been solved Imo, i would have no problem trusting my life to an eotech just as much as i would trust it to an aimpoint. Throughout the years, eotech has invested heavily in test equipment to torture the products and understand their performance
